The Impact Department nominated: Changemaker Award NLgroeit

The Impact Department nominated for NLgroeit Changemaker Award

We are incredibly proud: our 'impact boss' (CEO) Jeroen de Punder and The Impact Department have been nominated by NLgroeit as one of the 6 biggest changemakers of 2025!

The Changemaker Award stands for perseverance, turning challenges into opportunities, and making a lasting impact. This is exactly what we do at The Impact Department through our 'do good' platforms (including NLvoorelkaar.nl). And it is something we want to expand significantly – because voluntary commitment and, above all, being there for each other are desperately needed right now.

Nomination for everyone

Jeroen explains what the nomination means: "This nomination means a lot. For me, the entire team, and our community: it shows the importance of helping each other, the amount of volunteer work already done, but also that we still need many strong hands, hearts, and minds."

Motivation: strong communities and doing good in your own way

This entrepreneurial adventure began eight years ago. Because I saw firsthand how important volunteers and strong communities are, due to a disability my daughter was diagnosed with at the time.

That became my motivation to invest every day (and sometimes night) with passion, dedication and enthusiasm in our organization that does exactly that: connecting talent, time and requests for help in a smart way so that everyone can make a social contribution that suits him or her,” says Jeroen.

Challenging traditional 'laws' leads to extraordinary results

Jeroen: "I'm incredibly proud to see where we are now: through our platforms (like NLvoorelkaar.nl), we connect over 100.000 people seeking help and those seeking help every year. From lending a hand in the neighborhood to providing skills for a community project, we make doing good easy (and fun!). We see this happen hundreds of times every day; it's truly remarkable."

But even more special is what this nomination also highlights: the "business" side. For years, we've been challenging traditional "marketplace laws": participants don't pay – this is made 100% possible by 100+ satisfied partners (municipalities and corporates) who, in this way, genuinely and sustainably help their residents and employees, as well as indirectly thousands of charities and citizens in need! Being nominated as a tech-driven social enterprise feels like confirmation that impact and innovation can go hand in hand. 🙌”
