The challenge: resident participation, with professional services as a findable and recognizable safety net at the neighborhood level

Vrijwilligers Tilburg is an established name in Tilburg. Under this banner, volunteer organizations have been providing expert advice, guidance, and matching for years. Vrijwilligers Tilburg is part of the welfare organization ContourdeTwern.

To keep the service personal and possible, the organization started looking for digital tool that residents can use to get started themselves: asking for or giving help, helping each other, or improving the neighborhood. In a safe environment, of course, under the recognizable and established name and style of VrijwilligersTilburg.

The tool must also volunteer organizations, foundations and associations support: recruit volunteers, offer personal development and offer activities.

This is how it should be time left for where it cannot be done digitally or independently. The step towards the services Volunteers Tilburg should be easy to make: easy to find services, easy to make contact.

Finally, the tool should help with 'the numbers': what does the match yield (and services of VrijwilligersTilburg) on.

A platform and approach that makes us recognizable at the neighborhood and district level.

Rob Beckers – Volunteers Tilburg

Marco Kiezenberg, director of ContourdeTwern: "We chose this platform because of its ease of use. It was the most accessible platform we could find. We believe that making participation easy is the key to the future of volunteering. That's why we chose this platform for our residents and ourselves."

Marco and Rob talk about their search and choice in the video below.

Result: participation at neighborhood and district level is reliably arranged

The result:

✔️ Vrijwilligerstilburg.nl in its own recognizable house style live within 2 months
✔️ Findable and usable at neighborhood and district level by residents and professionals
✔️ Overview of all our services (and space for all projects)
✔️ Integrated volunteer vacancy bank, neighborhood assistance and academy
✔️ More matches with fewer people. In the first year, around 5.000 matches were made, with an average match taking 12 days to complete.

Project leader Rob Beckers spends his remaining time inspiring and motivating residents and volunteer organizations. For example, Vrijwilligers Tilburg organizes the annual Volunteer Awards, where volunteers and organizations are recognized.
